Diplômé de l'Institut universitaire européen de Florence, de l'École de droit de la Sorbonne, de Sciences Po Paris et de l'Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, j'ai été nommé professeur de droit public à l'Université des Antilles (pôle Guadeloupe) à la suite du concours d'agrégation (2013-2014) après avoir été un an maître de conférences à l'Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. Depuis ma thèse relative aux rapports entre l'Union européenne et l'identité constitutionnelle nationale (pour laquelle j'ai obtenu le prix de thèse du Conseil constitutionnel ainsi que le prix Mauro Cappelletti), je m'intéresse particulièrement aux rapports entre ordres juridiques, au droit de l'Union européenne et au droit constitutionnel comparé, tant dans leurs aspects pratiques que théoriques. Maîtrisant l'anglais, l'italien et l'allemand, j'ai été jusqu’ici amené à étudier certains pans des droits allemand, américain, européens, français, irlandais, italien ou suisse. J'ai été détaché à la Cour de justice de l'Union européenne entre 2015 et 2021 en tant que référendaire au sein du cabinet de l'Avocat général Michal Bobek. Depuis mon retour en Guadeloupe, je suis engagé dans un travail de comparaison juridique et politique entre les différentes expériences d’intégration régionale dans le monde, tant sur le plan institutionnel (avec un focus sur les cours de justice régionale) que sur le plan matériel.
I am a Professor of Public Law at the University of the French West Indies (Lesser Antilles, Guadeloupe). A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, Sorbonne Law School and Jean Moulin University in Lyon, I obtained my Ph.D. at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). Following my doctorate, I became an Associate Professor at the University of Toulouse Capitole before being appointed in Guadeloupe as Full Professor after successfully passing the agrégation in France. I have published numerous articles in the field of European Union Law and Comparative Constitutional Law in French, English and Italian. I am the author of two monographs: Le contrôle de constitutionnalité des lois de transposition en France et en Allemagne (L’Harmattan, Paris, 2011) and L’Union européenne et l’identité constitutionnelle des États membres (LGDJ-Lextenso, Paris, 2013), for which I was awarded the prix de thèse du Conseil constitutionnel and the Mauro Cappelletti Prize. A co-editor of the European Constitutional Law Review (EuConst) since 2016, I was a referendaire within the Chambers of Advocate General Bobek at the Court of Justice between 2015 and 2021. My current research interests primarily lie in the comparative study of regional integration processes across the world, both on the institutional as well as the substantive planes, with a focus on regional courts.
